   5 Open the openoffice writer, and choose tools-> options. Under
   6 openoffice.org on the left hand side, select paths. Make a note of
   7 the path for "Writing aids".  Close the openoffice program, and any
   8 quick launch program that is running.

  10 Switch to a user with permission to change the installed files and
  11 change to the directory noted above. Change to the subdirectory ooo.
  12 Copy the files th_en_GB_new.dat and th_en_GB_new.idx to this
  13 directory. Edit the file dictionary.lst and remove the line that
  14 starts:
  15 THES en GB
  16 if it exists.

  18 Add the following line:
  19 THES en GB th_en_GB_new

  21 Restart openoffice writer. From tools->options select
  22 language settings->languages
  23 Select English (UK) for every option where it is allowed (User
  24 Interface may not be available). Now click Writig aids. Make sure
  25 that all the options in the first box are ticked, and click the Edit
  26 button nearest the top. Select English (UK) for the language, and
  27 click close, and OK to return to the document.

  29 To test the thesaurus, type colour in, and CTRL+F7 (or
  30 tools->Language->Thesaurus) for the thesaurus.
  31 It should come up with a list of words, none of which is color.
  32 If color is an option you still have the original thesaurus. Click
  33 the Language... button and select English (UK) as the language.
  34 It should work now.
