   4 We are pleased to announce the second public pre-release of LyX 2.0.0.

   6 Due to the many reports we received, support for polyglossia, XeTeX's new
   7 language interface and babel replacement, has been added. In the same vein
   8 we added basic and experimental support for LuaTeX as well.

  10 Smaller changes to be highlighted are:
  11 * better support for sub/superscripts
  12 * externally launched documents are now possible to load in an already
  13   running LyX instance
  14 * TikZ and PSTricks support in instant preview insets
  15 * context menu handling.

  17 Please report the problems and bugs at our lists or bug tracker and
  18 also note that this release is for testing purposes only. Users are
  19 encouraged to use current 1.6 stable release for any serious work.
