   4 We are proud to announce the release of LyX 2.3.1. This is the first
   5 maintenance release in the 2.3.x series.

   9 LyX is a document processor that encourages an approach to writing based
  10 on the structure of your documents and not simply their appearance. It is
  11 released under a Free and Open Source Software license.

  13 LyX 2.3.1 is the result of on-going efforts to make our stable version more

  16 All python scripts distributed with LyX should now be compatible with both
  17 python 2.x and python 3.x.

  19 One oft-requested enhancement was to restore a keyboard shortcut for opening
  20 the 'settings' menu of graphics, reference, etc, insets. This is now Control-
  21 Alt-i, on Windows and Linux, and Control-Option-i on OSX (assuming you are
  22 using the default keybindings).

  25 http://www.lyx.org/trac/wiki/BugTrackerHome. If you're not sure whether it
  26 really is a bug, you can e-mail the LyX developers' mailing list (lyx-devel
